Rick Randel

Rick specializes in business and real estate law, including structuring and negotiating complex transactions, forming the entities involved and drafting the necessary documentation. He has substantial experience in private placements of securities; formation and organization of corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies; and general business counseling.

Rick received his J.D., cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center in 1988, and his B.A., cum laude, from UCLA in 1983.

From 1988 through 1990, Rick was an associate with the San Francisco law firm of Pettit & Martin. Prior to joining MBV Law LLP, Rick served as Assistant General Counsel of Real Property Services Corp., a diversified real estate investment, syndication, development and management company.

Rick is the co-author of the program materials for the 1990 CEB course entitled, "Introduction to Corporate Securities Practice in California."

His years of in-house experience taught Rick to practice law with a practical, business-oriented approach. Working intimately with the executives and accountants at his former company gave him an insider's perspective on how clients want real-world solutions to their legal problems.

Rick lives in Oakland, California, with his wife and daughter. He writes fiction in his spare time.
