David J. Brown
David is a trial attorney and commercial litigator with more than 33 years of litigation experience. His areas of expertise include commercial and consumer class action defense, financial institution cases of all types, California Business and Professions Code Section 17200 cases, complex contract disputes including major construction matters and other complex contract cases, securities litigation matters, foreign worker sweatshop cases, and creditor bankruptcy litigation.
David has:

• Exceptional witness examination and interviewing abilities.
• Eliminated many high exposure matters through substantive law and motion practice.
• Provided crisis assistance including internal reviews and investigations.
• Managed large cases, and portfolios of cases of varying sizes.
David is admitted to the Bar for practice in all California Federal and State Courts. In addition he is admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court and the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois. He has also been admitted to practice Pro Hac Vice in numerous Federal and State Courts across the country.
David graduated with great distinction from the University of the Pacific (McGeorge School of Law) in 1973. He was the Editor-in-Chief of the Pacific Law Review. David received a B.S. degree in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley in 1966.
Prior to coming to MBV Law, David practiced for 30 years at Brobeck, Phleger and Harrison LLP, first as an associate and then as a partner, and for 4 years as a partner at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP before joining MBV Law LLP.
