Jon is a trial attorney with more than thirty years of experience in real estate, construction, design, corporate and partnership dissolutions, employment, business tort, and environmental litigation.

Unlike many litigation attorneys, Jon provides the firm’s clients with efficient cost-effective and result-oriented services. He routinely advises clients on litigation avoidance, advocates creative approaches to dispute resolution and has a business-oriented approach to problem solving. Jon can also be an aggressive advocate and has substantial trial experience. Regardless of the path required, Jon is always very practical and dedicated to protecting the interests of the firm’s clients.

For ten years, prior to joining MBV Law LLP, Jon was a partner of O’Donnell & Pia, a San Francisco civil litigation law firm. From 1981 to 1986 Jon was associated with Horwich & Warner in San Francisco, California. He has been retained as an expert by other attorneys, has served as a member of the American Arbitration Association’s Construction Industry Panel, and has taught numerous seminars on construction industry contracts.

Jon graduated from the University of California, Berkeley (Boalt Hall School of Law) in 1981. He received his B.A. with High Honors from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1977. Jon graduated from the Thacher School in 1973.

Jon has been active in the community. He was formerly a member of the Board of Directors of Save San Francisco Bay Association, the Thacher School Development Committee, the Chairperson of the Berkeley Schools Excellence Project Planning & Oversight Committee, and the President of 2311 Corporation. He is now Chancellor of the Anglican Province of Christ the King.
