Chris specializes in commercial real property transactions, and has considerable experience with all types of retail, office and ground leases; construction loans; acquisitions and acquisition loans; dispositions; tax-deferred exchanges; shared appreciation loans; listing and engagement contracts; construction and architect contracts; real estate brokerage; and real estate partnerships and joint ventures.
Before joining MBV Law LLP in 1993, Chris was with the San Francisco law firm of Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison, first as an associate and later as partner. Before moving to California in 1984, Chris was associated with the New York firm of Willkie Farr & Gallagher, where he did securities work and bond and equipment financing. In addition to his California membership, Chris retains his membership with the New York bar.
Chris received his law degree from New York University, where he served as Research and Articles Editors for the Annual Survey of American Law. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Williams College.
