Micah Jacobs specializes in litigating complex business, intellectual property and securities disputes in state and federal courts throughout the United States. He is routinely called upon by private and public companies, early-stage businesses, investors, entrepreneurs, inventors and artists to resolve their critical legal disputes. Micah has secured many multi-million dollar settlements for his clients. He is also a successful trial lawyer and has won numerous jury verdicts and dispositive motions. Over the past 16 years, Micah has litigated some of the most cutting-edge legal issues at several of the country’s leading law firms, including Cooley Godward Kronish in San Francisco and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto. Micah was a founding partner of Jacobs & Ferraro, a business, technology and entertainment law firm in San Francisco that later merged with Bullivant Houser Bailey, a Portland-based firm with offices throughout the West Coast, where Micah was a partner before joining MBV.
In 2009, the Daily Journal named Micah among the 75 Leading IP Litigators in California in its annual survey of the best litigators in the state. Micah was also recognized by his peers and by Law & Politics magazine as a “Northern California Super Lawyer” in 2010, 2006, and 2005.
Micah earned his law degree from the University of California at Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law, in 1994. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California at Los Angeles. Before law school, Micah was a ski instructor at Squaw Valley, USA, and a competitive Ironman triathlete. He lives in Kentfield, California with his wife Erica and he is the proud father of two young boys.
